Mrs. Adelia King "Mama Dee" Brunson, 81, resident of Highland Avenue, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30p.m. Wednesday at Godwin-Chapell Cemetery with Rev. Charles E. Blythe officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 12 - 2 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Padgett King and Annie Beatrice Fraser Harris. She had been a waitress at Berlin's Restaurant and Shoney's Restaurant. Survivors include her husband, Billy Eugene Brunson of Columbia; daughter, Reba Thomas of Columbia; son, Eddie Thomas of Columbia; two grandchildren, Jeff (Melinda) Thomas and Mike (Debra) Thomas both of Columbia; and four great-grandchildren, Fayth Thomas, Hope Thomas, Wesley Thomas and Jesse Thomas. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lemuel Padgett King, Jr. and Flim Crawford King. Pallbearers will be Jeff Thomas, Mike Thomas, Rusty Baker, William Brunson, Wayne Phillips and Tony Holcomb.
