Allene Cross Russell

MRS. CORDELL RUSSELL Mrs. Allene Cross Russell, 84, widow of Cordell Russell and former long-time resident of Blue Branch Road in the Yokley Community, died Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Steve Vanhooser officiating. Burial will be in the Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lynnville United Methodist Church. Cross and Cora Beatrice Powell Cross and a member of the Lynnville United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara (Roger) Barlar of Lynnville; a son, Lonnie (Barbara) Russell of Lynnville; a brother, James Elmer Cross of Columbia; four grandchildren, Debbie (Gary) Underwood, Ricky (Rebecca) Russell, Janet (Michael) McAlister and Julie Welsh; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Hickman and Raydean Beasley. Pallbearers are Michael McAlister, Gary Underwood, Ricky Russell, W. L. Beasley, Wayne Minatra, Jeff Dault, Brad Clark and Russ Underwood.
