Allie Belle Tinker Dale, 85, former longtime resident of the Williamsport Community, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at the home of her granddaughter on Terrapin Branch Road in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Telford Tharp officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Bridges Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born January 23, 1932, in Cherokee, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late James Ned Tinker and the late Eva Katherine Hubbard Tinker. Her husband, James Irvin Dale, preceded her in death April 24, 1987. Mrs. Dale loved to knit, play the piano and work in her flower garden. An artistic person, she also enjoyed painting. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her son, David E. (Deborah) Dale of Williamsport; daughters, Carolyn Dale and Eva Lewis, both of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
