Alma Christine Rochelle Shehane

Alma Christine Rochelle Shehane, 97, former resident of Harris Street, died Tuesday December 10, 2019 at Morning Pointe of Spring Hill. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend  Jeff Jacob officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born June 24, 1922 in Hickman County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Roland Hull Rochelle and the late Annie Jewell Rochelle. On March 13, 1954, she married James Harold Shehane who preceded her in death on September 30, 2008. She was of the Methodist faith and attended Craft Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Roxanne Shehane (Gary) Howell of Florence, AL and Rita Shehane (Steve) Parks of Culleoka, TN; grandchildren, Jennifer (Peyton) Robertson of Culleoka, TN, John Logan Parks of Nashville, TN, Preston Lee Parks of Knoxville, TN, Joseph Christian Howell of Knoxville, TN, and Steven Connor Parks of Florence, AL; great grandchildren, Tyler McClain Robertson and Adalyn Kay Robertson. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Humphrey and Zelma Kincaid; brother, Jewell Rochelle; and half-sister, Mary Rochelle.    Active pallbearers will be John Logan Parks, Preston Parks, Joseph Christian Howell, Steven Connor Parks, Peyton Robertson, Eddie Humphrey, Ronnie Kincaid, and Stan Humphrey. Honorary pallbearers will include Derrick Dawson, employees of Morning Pointe in Spring Hill, and Dr. Charles Ball.
