Mr. Alton "Peck" Bradley, 81, retired from Heil-Quaker Corporation with 30 years service and a resident of Old Highway 99, died Friday, September 24, 2004 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Hank Shelton and Rev. David McGregor officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Spring Hill with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alton Bradley Trust Fund, AmSouth Bank, 700 North Garden Street, Columbia. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Spring Hill and an avid HAM Radio Operator. He married the former Wanda Barton October 17, 1964 who preceded him in death June 28, 1976. Survivors include a daughter, Mamie Dieann Bradley Lomax of Columbia; a son, Rickey (Teresa) Bradley of Giles County; a sister, Lucille Solomon of Gainesville, Florida; a brother, J. K . Bradley of Columbia; three step-daughters, Janet (Jerry) Hines of Columbia, Carol (Wayne) Williams of Spring Hill and Sherry (Darrell) Brown of Columbia; a step-son, Larry (Donna) White of Columbia; four grandchildren, Madison Lomax, Hamilton Lomax, Terra (Bo) Burm and Lindy Bradley; 11 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Bobby Solomon, Harry Lunn, Ronnie Lunn, Bill Capps, Troy Logue, Derrick Gibson and Dustin Gibson. Honorary pallbearers include Oscar Dillehay, Alonzo Walker, Henry Teebles, The 1:30 Coffee Drinkers at McDonald's, Morning Mall Walkers and fellow HAM Radio Operators.
