Mr. Alvin Ray Truette, 54, employee of the Maury County Solid Waste Department and resident of Jones Valley Road in Williamsport, died Thursday, January 20, 2005 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30p.m Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Homer D. Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Williamsport Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Willie Edward Truette and Lillie Mae Johnson Truette. He attended the Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Jenkins of Williamsport; three sons, Gerald (Jennifer) Truette of Brentwood, Jerry Truette of Mt. Juliet and Bruce Truette of Primm Springs; one brother, Raymond (Lucille) Truette of Williamsport; two sisters, Carolyn (Roger) Morton and Ruby Truette; one half-sister, Judy Silvis; six grandchildren, Emily Jenkins, Heather Jenkins, Brandon Truette, Bruce Truette, Nick Truette, Blake Truette; and the mother of his children, Carolyn Faye Truette of Primm Springs. Pallbearers will be Brian Jenkins, John L. Morton, Robert Truette, James Truette, Gerald Truette, Jason Dunn, Tommy Fly, Jerry Truette and Bruce Truette. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Baker, Winfred Baker, Keith Baker and fellow co-workers at Maury County Solid Waste Department.
