View Funeral Webcast Angela Dawn Lackey of Columbia, Tennessee passed from this life on July 5, 2023. She was born August 18, 1971, in Bedford County, Tennessee. She grew up in the Coldwater community in Lincoln County where she attended school at Taft, Blanche, and Lincoln County High School where she excelled academically. She was a proud graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. Angela gave her life to Christ in 1989 and was baptized into New Grove Baptist Church. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Spring Hill where she enjoyed worshiping and serving the Lord with her church family. Angela was the wife of Geoff Lackey and daughter of Brenda and the late Franklin D Bradford. She is survived by sisters, Sonia and Tommy McAulliffe of Elkmont, AL and Jennifer Bradford of Taft. mother-in-law, Katherine Lackey of Huntsville, AL; sister-in-law, Missy Lackey of Ardmore, AL; brothers-in-law: Joel and Laurie Lackey of Oxford, MS; Greg Lackey of Grant, AL; Mike and Sherry Lackey of Madison, AL. Nephews: Noah, Coby, and Nathan Lackey; aunts and uncles: Connie and Neil Lokey, Bobby King, Jimmy Crocker, Joyce King, Beverly King, Sara Bradford, John and Cassie Bradford, Wilma Newton, Judy Dale, Brenda and Donald Merlo, and Nancy and Claude Gibbs. She is also survived by a host of cousins, friends, neighbors, and her Farm Bureau family. She was preceded in death by Edward Jacobs, grandparents: William Leonard and Edna (Peggy) King and William and Virgie Jacobs, nephew, Andrew Lackey. She was a Business Analyst at Farm Bureau Health Plans, having worked there for 21 years. She loved her Farm Bureau family as much as they loved her. Angela enjoyed music and she and Geoff attended many live concerts. They were able to travel both domestically and internationally, most notably to France and Germany for their 10th anniversary. She enjoyed theatre, both attending shows and appearing onstage in Lewisburg and Spring Hill. She was known for her attention to detail in both her writing and her speech. She was compassionate and showed empathy to those around her even while battling cancer herself. She rarely met a stranger and had a knack for making everyone around her feel comfortable and included. Her smile will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday, July 11 at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with the funeral Wednesday, July 12 at 11:00am at First Presbyterian Church of Spring Hill.
