Mrs. Angelina Alibrandi Raspa, 91, resident of Viewpointe Way in Columbia, died Sunday. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Westchester County, New York with Father Gagliano officiating. Entombment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery in New York. The family will visit with friends Sunday at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Castiglione, Sicily, Italy she was the daughter of the late Joseph Alibrandi and Veronica Greco Alibrandi. On April 23, 1938 she married Joseph Raspa who preceded her in death in 1960. Mrs. Raspa was a longtime resident of New York City. She worked in the textile industry and in St. Mary's County public schools. She was a member of St. Francis of Rome Catholic Church in Bronx, New York. Survivors include one son, Salvatore (Myra) Raspa of Lexington Park, Maryland; one daughter, Vittoria (Roger) Wilkes of Columbia; one sister, Stella Fortuna of Glendale, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Roger Wilkes, Jr., Michelle Wilkes, Salvatore Raspa, Jr., Anthony Raspa, Scott Raspa, Victor Raspa, Angela Raspa; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Raspa in 1989 and two sisters, Rose Barberio in 2005 and Mary Licciardone in 2007.
