Ann Dean Graham, age 94, native and resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Grace Healthcare in Franklin, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Morton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born November 14, 1922 in Maury County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Paul Dodson Dean and the late Daisy Cheek Ashton Dean. On March 19, 1943, she married Henry C. Graham who preceded her in death November 19, 1990. She was a 1941 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Columbia Business College. Ann enjoyed a full-time career as a bookkeeper for various companies including; Gobble Lumber Company, Dean Roofing Company, and Fisher Electric Supply Company. She was a member and President of Columbia Civinettes and attended Graymere Church of Christ throughout her later life. Ann enjoyed music, especially Lawrence Welk, family gatherings, a game of Rook and a good cup of coffee. Mrs. Graham was an avid Bible reader and loved to sing hymns.Ann is survived by her daughter, Brenda McGrath of Knoxville; son, Ken (Rowena) Graham of Franklin; grandchildren, Dr. Jenny (Dr. Jason) Weaver, Steve McGrath, Adelicia Graham, Nathaniel Graham, Hannah Graham, Laura Graham; great grandchildren, Emma Weaver, Andrew Weaver; sisters-in-law, Jewel Dean, Amelia Dean; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Ashton Inman; brothers, Thomas Ashton, William Dean, Waylan Dean, and Norman Dean.Active pallbearers will be Nathaniel Graham, Steve McGrath, Patrick Andrews, and Chuck Dean.
