Ann G Horner

Mrs. Ann German Horner, 91, homemaker and resident of Wellesley Place, died Friday, October 13, 2006, at Life Care Center. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Arch Warren officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Disease Association, 2300 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203 or the charity of your choice. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Caldwell County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Phineas German and Martha Russell German. She was married to Joe S. Horner who preceded her in death on September 23, 1979. Mrs. Horner was a member of West End Church of Christ in Nashville. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joan Horner Reuther of Nashville; Mrs. Martha (Jim) Kelley of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Katherine Stimson of Lenoir, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Arthur Miller (Sheila) Reuther, Jr., and Ann Elizabeth Reuther, both of Nashville; Martha Ann (Mark) Pratt of Nolensville; Laura Katherine (Matt) Sowell and Nancy Leigh Kelley, both of Columbia; five great grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Reuther, Arthur Miler Reuther, Ann Gray Sowell, William Freeman Sowell, Alexander Brinkley Pratt; one niece and two nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
