View Funeral Webcast Anna Worth Butler Ingram, 89, long-time resident of Booker Place in the Culleoka Community, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Bigbyville United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Bryant Cemetery in the Mooresville Community. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the church. Born and reared in Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Uliver Clayton Butler and Bertie Mae Hobby Butler and a graduate of Cornersville High School. For several years, she taught as a substitute in the Maury County School System. On May 23, 1937 she married Dan Ingram, well-known Maury County farmer. They first lived in the Mooresville Community and years later moved to the McCains Community. For many years she and Dan were leaders in activities in the McCains, Mynders and Bigbyville communities. She was an avid supporter of the Maury County APTA, the James K. Polk Association, and Maury County Historical Society. She and Mr. Ingram enjoyed opening their home for the annual tour of Historic Homes of Maury County. Her support of Mr. Ingram's work in the restoration of the Columbia Athenaeum and care of historic Vine Hill was indicative of their love for historic preservation. At the time of her death, she remained a member of the Trotwood Garden Club, Mynders Home Demonstration Club, and Business and Professional Women's Club, all of which were outlets for her love of long-time friends and gardening. Mrs. Ingram is fondly remembered as a sales associate with Helm's Jewelry for 20 years. She was a former member of Bigbyville United Methodist Church and in recent years a member of Columbia First United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughters, Barbara (Emmett) Barker of Jackson, Linda (Bill) Lakey of Nashville, and Amy M. Ingram of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren, Melanie Barker (Dr. John) Harvey of Ft. Worth, Texas, Bethany Erwin (Christopher) Owen of Diluth, Minnesota, James Lee (Annette) Spruill of St. Charles, Missouri, Stephanie Dotson Ross of Greer, South Carolina, Jennifer Spruill (Tom) Hart of Raleigh, North Carolina, Dan (Cathy) Barker of Oregon, Wisconsin, and Rob (Miriam) Dotson of Greer, South Carolina; great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Megan Harvey, Corey and Hunter Spruill, Emily Daniel and Brian Ross, Anna Worth and Cole Barker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Ingram, July 27, 1987; a daughter, Emily Dotson, and a sister, Louise Ledford. Pallbearers are Melanie and Dr. John Harvey, Bethany and Christopher Owen, Annette and James Lee Spruill, Stephanie Ross, Jennifer and Tom Hart, Cathy and Dan Barker, Miriam and Rob Dotson.
