Anna Boyd Burnett Noles,51, retired teacher and resident of Fayetteville, died Saturday, September 26, 2008 at Huntsville Hospital. Anna Boyd's spirit of giving continues with the gift of life through anatomical donation. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Van Johnson officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors in Columbia are in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Special Education Unit at Lincoln County High School, 1233 Huntsville Highway, Fayetteville 37334. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. Born in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late William Porter Burnett, Jr. and Mary Fowler Sullivan Burnett. She was a graduate of Lincoln County High School in Fayetteville. After earning a Master's Degree in Special Education from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, she taught Special Education in Lincoln County for a number of years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Burnett Noles of Fayetteville; a brother, William Porter "Bill" Burnett, III of Nashville; a nephew, William Holt Burnett; great-nephew, William Holden Burnett; and several cousins. Pallbearers are Cody Noles, Aaron Holloway, Jerry White, Andy White, William Massey, and Holt Burnett.
