Mrs. Anna Mae Mays Turner, 83, retired co- owner of Memory Shop Antiques and resident of Rosewood Manor, died Monday, July 9, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. The Allen County, Kentucky native was the daughter of the late John Leslie Mays and Grace Laclair Hickman Mays. She graduated from High School in Scottsville, Ky. On December 30, 1950 she married Levy Bryant Turner, Jr. who preceded her in death March 22, 2001. She was a retired operator at Publix Shirt Factory and a retired antique dealer. She was active in several bowling leagues in Maury County. Mrs. Turner was a member of Chestnut Point Baptist Church in Allen County, Kentucky and attended Pleasant Heights Baptist Church in Columbia. Survivors include a son, Lawrence Ray Turner of Nashville; one brother, Willie Mays of Scottsville, KY; one grandson, Zachery Lee Turner of Murfreesboro; two nieces, Doris Beller and Janet Rogers both of Bowling Green, KY; one nephew, Larry Mays of Bowling Green, KY; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert Mays. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
