Anna Faye Donaldson Watkins

Anna Faye Donaldson Cantrell Watkins, 86, homemaker and resident of Viewpointe Way, died Friday, April 29, 2016 at her residence. Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Memory Gardens in Weatherford, Texas with her grandson Jansen Bagwell officiating. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.Born January 16, 1930 in Throckmorton, Texas she was the daughter of the late W. L. Donaldson and Lottie Ann Wolf Donaldson. On June 5, 1999 she married Fred Watkins who preceded her in death August 7, 2004. She enjoyed singing and attending musical family reunions, where there were always guitar and fiddle players leading everyone in gospel songs. For many years she sang with the Southern Gospel Singings in Texas. Mrs. Watkins was a member of Peaster Baptist Church in Texas and more recently of First Baptist Church in Columbia. Survivors include her daughter, Patsey (Mark) Palmer of Columbia; son-in-law, J. A. Bagwell of Weatherford, TX; grandchildren, Jansen (Amanda) Bagwell of Casper, WY; Tara Pickens Howard of Waco, TX; Stephanie Palmer (Robert) Foster of Naperville, IL; great grandchildren, Eli Bagwell, Lindsey Bagwell, Rachel Bagwell, Colton Howard, and Brady Howard; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Cantrell Bagwell; and nine siblings.
