Anne Lovell Gibson Hickman

August 10, 1927 — March 10, 2008

Mrs. Anne Lovell Gibson Hickman, 80, resident of Alterra Sterling House and former resident of Manor Road, died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt and Rev. C.F. Lovell officiating. Burial will be in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Captain Flourney Lovell and Susie Heath Lovell. She was a graduate of Campbellsville High School. She was married to Clyde Hugh Gibson who preceded her in death November 17, 1982. Mrs. Hickman was retired from the Maury County Court Clerks Office as Deputy Clerk after 28 years of service. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and loved quilting, playing bridge and was a wonderful cook. She was a member of West 7th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne Grisham and Connie Gibson Mash both of Columbia; one brother, Rev. C.F. (Ruby) Lovell of Arkansas; one granddaughter, Terri Lynn Mash of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Tommie Boatright, Shirley Sands, Mary Alice Moser and two brothers, Milburn Lovell and Corlice D. Lovell. Pallbearers will be Wayne Lovell, Edwin Lovell, Bryan Sands, Josh Wilson, W.K. Moser and Bobby Lovell. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Hickman, employees of Alterra Sterling House and past and present employees of the Maury County Court Clerk's office.
