Mrs. Annie Mae Usery Broadway, 79, retired employee of Maury Manufacturing and Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing and resident of Smith Hollow Road in Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Elmer Crosby and Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Steele, Missouri native was the daughter of the late John Usery and Eula Mae Yowell Usery. She was married to Samuel G. Broadway who preceded her in death February 18, 1970. She was a graduate of Bradford High School in Bradford, Tennessee. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church where she played the organ and piano for over forty years. Survivors include two daughters, Martha Ann (Jerry) Hi nson of Hohenwald and Karla (David) Massey of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Lola Akin of Bradford, Ruth Miller of Brandon, Mississippi, Margaret (Gale) Miller of Snowflake, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Hennessy, John Garlon Allen, Donna Riley, Sheri Marks, Heather Watson, Ashley Waldrum, Justin Waldrum, and four great-grandchildren, Triston Watson, Andrew Hennessy, Brittany Riley and Samantha Riley. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John T. Usery, Jr. and Eual Ursery. Pallbearers will be David Ursery, Danny Ursery, Billy Ursery, Gary Broadway, Allen Massey and Jimmy Aslinger. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present members of Riverview Baptist Church and special friends, Mary Lou Clymer, Mary Jo Cunningham and Brown and Mary Helen Crouch.
