Annie Mae Davis

Mrs. Annie Mae Knowis Davis, 90, homemaker and resident of Whatley Street, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A. M. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Curtis Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. She was married to Gordon Davis who preceded her in death on February 28, 1981. Mrs. Davis was a member of Highland Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Kenneth) Corder of Columbia; one son, Bobby (Elizabeth) Davis of Columbia; two brothers, Ed Lee of Lewisburg; Clyde (Christine) Lee of Nashville; sister-in-law, Lorene Knowis of Lewisburg; son-in-law, William Jarratt of Columbia; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Madeline Jarratt, one brother, Rufus Knowis, and sister-in-law, Sue Lee. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
