Anthony Wayne Lee, 75, retired employee of Triangle Auto Springs and resident of Bradford Circle, died Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Russell Yoder and Dr. David Hutchings officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born September 5, 1943 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Virgil Lee and the late Mary Elizabeth Nesbitt Lee. He served in the United States Army. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching baseball, NASCAR and was a UT Fan. Mr. Lee loved spending time with his wife, son, and grandchildren. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and had been attending Spring Hill United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, whom he married April 14, 1972, Linda Langley Lee of Columbia; son, David Kyle (Ashley) Lee of Falls City, Texas; brothers, Billy (Juanita) Lee of Columbia; Don (Melba) Lee of Hampshire; grandchildren, Elizabeth Lee, Samuel Lee, Mackenzie Lee, and Jacob Lee; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil Lee, Eugene Lee, Kenneth Lee, Craig Lee; and sisters, Carolyn Shaw, and Lois Sims. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Wright, Clark Wright, Phillip White, Michael Langley, Allen Ring, and Leslie Murphy.
