Archie B Stoltz

Archie B. Stoltz, 79, retired U. S. Postal Service letter carrier for 29 years, died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at his residence on Pleasant Drive. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Greg Gwin and Gene Durham officiating. Military honors at graveside will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the son of the late Charlie M. Stoltz and Emma Qualls Stoltz, attended Hickman County Schools and Columbia Business College for three years. Survivors include his wife, Maureen Gilbert Stoltz of Columbia; three daughters, Janice (Chuck) Madison of Spring Hill, Sandra (Gary) Demonbreun of Lawrenceburg, and Robin (Tony) McKennon of Columbia; two brothers, Thomas Stoltz and Larry (Wanda) Stoltz, both of Linden; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dale) Palmer, Amy Ingram, Peter (Marcia) McCormack, Justin (Pamela) McKennon; great-grandchildren, Austin Palmer, Lauren Palmer, Alexia McKennon, Jayden McKennon, and Britney Ingram; step-grandchildren, Amanda (Tommy) Helton, David Madison; step-great-grandchildren, Christopher Gentry, Lanie Helton, Andrew Helton, Baxter Madison, Makenna Madison, and Brock Madison. He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Laverne Stoltz and two brothers, Earl Stoltz and James Stoltz. Active pallbearers are sons-in-law and grandsons, Chuck Madison, Gary Demonbreun, Tony McKennon, Peter McCormack, Justin McKennon, and Dale Palmer. Honorary pallbearers include members of Collegvue Church of Christ.
