Mr. Armin George Lazarus, 93, longtime resident of Indiana, died Saturday, May 10, 2003 at the home of his son, Bill Lazarus, in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Elwood, Indiana. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent Mercy Hospital Foundation through Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home, P.O. Box 20, Elwood, Indiana, 46036. The Ballard County, Kentucky native was the son of the late Louis Lazarus and Mary Shivel Lazarus. He was first married to Martha Jane Cottingham and later married Hazel Alice Booth Lazarus, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a tool crib technician for Guide Corporation in Anderson, Indiana for thirty years before retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Indiana and the U.A.W. #663 in Anderson, Indiana. Survivors include his son, Bill (Loretta Lucille) Lazarus of Columbia; step-daughter, Velma M. Tanzilli-Osting of Elwood, Indiana; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Hannah Douglas and Mabel Doke.
