Mr. Arnall Peery, farmer of Fairmont Farm on the Hampshire Pike for many years, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with the Rev. Robin Courtney officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Born in Davidson County, he was a life-long resident of Maury County and son of the late Arnall Peery, Sr. and Julia "Bessie" Ashton Peery. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and Vanderbilt University. Fluent in seven languages, Mr. Peery served in the U. S. Signal Corps in India during World War II as a cryptographer. He is survived by his special friend for many years, Carolyn Outlaw of Columbia. Active pallbearers are Charles Bills, Wilson Barnett, Jesse Foreman, Steven Hughes, Houston Parks, Jim Reedy, Jerry Colley, and William Tankersly. Honorary pallbearers include Linda Goodwin, Crystal Finerty, and the Staff of NHC Hillview.
