Audrey Davis Thurman

Audrey Davis Thurman, 89, homemaker, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her residence on Ella West Circle in Lynnville. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Milton Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and Friday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born November 28, 1929 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late George Edward Davis and the late Mary Elizabeth Redding Davis. On December 6, 1947, she married William Arlo “W.A.” Thurman who preceded her in death August 10, 2014. Mrs. Thurman was a member of Lynnville Church of Christ. Survivors include her sons, Randy A. (Kathy) Thurman of Lynnville; Billy D. Thurman of Columbia; sisters, Betty Reasonover, Juanita Hamby both of Pulaski; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great grand dog; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Don Thurman; daughter, Nancy Ward; sister, Eris Crafton Ledford; and brothers, Donald Davis; and Jimmy Davis. Active pallbearers will be her family and friends. The family would like to express a special thanks to her caregivers, Samantha Workman, Brooke Faulk, and the staff of Hospice Compassus.
