Audrey Grubbs Mrs. Audrey Hill Grubbs, 87, resident of Bailey St., died Monday, February 2, 2004 at Columbia Care and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted at 2p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Brown and Don Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4-8p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James Clay Hill and Mary Ragsdale Hill. She was married for fifty-seven years to William O. "Bill" Grubbs who preceded her in death June 15, 1992. She was a lifelong resident of Columbia, a retired seamstress with Dixie Manufacturing and a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include one sister, Edith Anglin of Kenosha, Wisconsin; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wales of Columbia; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Earl and Joyce Grubbs of Murfreesboro; and several nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Parker, Louise Thompson, Ruth Norman and one brother, Raymond Clay Hill.
