View Funeral Webcast View Video Tribute Barbara Anne Potts Williams Butler, 84, long-time resident of Bear Creek Pike in Columbia, homemaker, and resident of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, April 29, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Family request to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing and facial covering is required. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born September 1, 1936 in Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late Hilburn Potts and the late Fannie Bell Morton Potts. She married Boyd Butler who preceded her in death September 2, 2000. She enjoyed being a travel agent and driving cars for Richard Lyons in Lewisburg. Mrs. Butler was a member of Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Joyce Williams Tosh Stanley of Murfreesboro; son, Paul Alec “Roscoe” (Debi) Williams of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Wendy (Boyd) Molloy, Roscoe (Amber) Williams, Somer Williams, Sami Jo Williams, Dallas Williams; great grandchildren, Drake Williams, Alec Williams, Leighla Keith, Noah Kovanis, Paisley Molloy; and sisters, Catherine (Lee) Krenz, Mary McClanahan, and Wanda Morris. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Diane Williams in 1970; and sisters, Betty Mearse, Effie Mae Black, Patricia Pratt, and Charlene Miller. Active pallbearers will be Boyd Molloy, Roscoe Williams, Dallas Williams, Brad Caswell, Wade Allen, Holden Howard, and Mark Wright.
