Bennie Williams Hubbard, 86 retired office manager for The Davis Shop for 21 years and Jones & Lang Sporting Goods for 9 years and resident of 3rd Avenue, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Rosewood Manor. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery in Wilson County. A native of the St. Joseph Community in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late John Benjamin Williams and Mary Elizabeth Morrison Williams and a graduate of Loretto High School. She was a long-time member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. December 5, 1972, she married Wade Hubbard, who preceded her in death November 29, 1995. Survivors include a sister, Reba Williams (Villard) Smith of Columbia; and two nephews, Tom (Margene) Smith of Franklin and Doug (Charlotte) Smith of Chattanooga.
