Mrs. Bettie Ann Hardison Burcham, 76, died Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at her residence on Alicia Lane. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday at Polk Memorial Gardens with Jeremy Butt officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4- 8 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Oscar Hardison and Clare Arthur Hardison. On June 17, 1951 she married James "Jimmy" Burcham of Columbia who survives her. Mrs. Burcham was a 1947 graduate of Columbia Central High School. She was employed as a secretary for Columbia Radiology for twenty years. She was a member of West Seventh Street church of Christ. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Rob (Lisa) Burcham of Columbia, James "Jim" White (Trina) Burcham, Jr. of Joelton; one daughter, Ms. Belinda McAdams of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Jeannie (Dan) Hardison of Columbia, Mrs. Mary Frances Wilson of Crewe, Virginia; nine grandchildren, David Burcham, Evan Burcham, Emily Burcham, Alyson Waggoner, Seth Burcham, Jennifer Richardson, Jamie McAdams, Danny McAdams, Ben McAdams; eight great-grandchildren, Alicia Davis, Gage McAdams, Audry McAdams, Ella McAdams, Chase Butler, Ben McAdams, Hannah Richardson, Sam Richardson; and several nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Stowers, Franklin Armstrong, Travis Roberts, Jim Sproul, Billy Stanfill, Jerry Elder, Randy Owens, Cookie Mangum, Jolene and Gwyn Thurman, Linda Allen, Larry Richardson, Dr. Robert McClure, Elders and Deacons of West Seventh church of Christ, and employees of Hospice.
