Mrs. Betty Ann Linville Howell, 75, resident of Cheairs Circle, died Monday, December 18, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Dawson and Rev. Pete Tackett officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to "Worship Ministry" at First Baptist Church, 2790 Pulaski Highway, Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Wayne County native was the daughter of the late Rex Linville and Lessie Rinks Linville. She was married to James Isaac "J. I." Howell who preceded her in death on March 16, 2006. Mrs. Howell was a former sales clerk with Singer and retired owner of The Fashion Gallery. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Letha (Glenn) King of Lawrenceburg; one son, Randy (Rhonda) Howell of Spring Hill; two brothers, Billy Linville of Akron, Ohio; Jimmy Linville of Florida; six grandchildren, Grace Ann (Todd) Dalton, J. J. Payne, Randy (Courtney) Howell, II, Adam (Tracey) Howell, Stephanie (Jason) Gilbreath, John (Michelle) King; ten great grandchildren, Rebecca Ann Dalton, Ben Howell, Randy Howell, III, Cheali Howell, Rheagan Tabor, Jackson Gilbreath, Hudsen Gilbreath, Brittney King, Tyler King, Briley King; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff in ICU at Maury Regional Hospital.
