View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Betty Corinne Pinkleton Kelley, 87, long-time substitute teacher for Columbia Central High School, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 at her residence on Lion Parkway. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Clay Gentry and Dr. Rufus Clifford officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. Born January 10, 1932 in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lilburn Pinkleton and Brownie Corinne Lovell Pinkleton. She was a 1950 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Mrs. Kelley enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, whom she married October 24, 1951, Clifton Kelley of Columbia; daughters, Ginger (Ray) Gentry of McEwen; Dawn (Eugene) Forlines of Columbia; grandchildren, Tandye Gentry (Ryan) Scearce, Julie Forlines (Jeremy) Spray, Kelley (Katie) Forlines, Clay (Shelly) Gentry, Kelly Gentry, Jessica (Jonathan) Law; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tandy Kelley; and sister, Lou Ann Ingrum. Active pallbearers will be Hunter Craft, Bobby Hardison, Isaac Gentry, Tony Brunson, Jeremy Spray, Kelley Forlines, Mark Craft, Ryan Scearce, and Danny Davis. Honorary pallbearers include Taylor Jones, Bobby Parks, Jack Brunson, Ray Pinkleton, Tim McKee, Bobby Street, and Thelton Hill.
