Betty Jo Crowe Bailey

Betty Jo Crowe Bailey, 86, retired manager for Associates Finance and Washington Mutual Finance, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at her residence in Spring Hill. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols funeral Home with Brother J.C. Christian officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born September 11, 1935 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Crowe and the late Maggie Floyd Crowe. Mrs. Bailey enjoyed traveling to the beach, going to the Tennessee River, where she loved to go boating and water skiing. She enjoyed being a chaperone for the Sub Deb Sorority on their trips and loved the girls as her own. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Jennings (Jerry) Olive of Panama City Beach, Florida; step-son, Michael (Barbara) Bailey of Spring Hill; brother, Billy (Jean) Crowe of the Rally Hill Community; grandchildren, Navy Petty Officer First Class Kristin Olive, Dustin Olive; several great grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Brandon Bailey, Austin Pierce, Chad (Amanda) Pierce; niece, Debbie Crowe Leming; and nephew, David Crowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, A.C. Jennings and Russell Wayne Bailey. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Olive, David Olive, Dennis Cofer, Randy Warren, Donnie Clark, and Michael Bailey. Honorary pallbearers include Navy Petty Officer First Class Kristin Olive, Charles Fraser, Kathy Clark, Bonnie Clayton, and Kim Morgan.
