Betty Jane Duncan Love, 85, homemaker and resident of Knob Creek Road, died Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.An Eastern Star service will be held Tuesday at 12:30 P.M. followed by funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Anthony Muston officiating. Burial will follow in Knob Creek Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born September 28, 1931 in Franklin County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Wesley Duncan and the late Gertrude Barnes Duncan. In June 1947, she married Mansell O. Love who preceded her in death October 4, 1986. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Love was a member of Knob Creek Baptist Church, the Lewisburg Eastern Star Lodge #71 and a past Matron of the Eastern Star Lodge #119 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.Survivors include her children, Gary Wayne (Peggy Sue) Love of Columbia; Joy Gail Love of Columbia; grandchildren, Sarah Anne (Matthew) Grams of Franklin; Lisa Jane (Paul) Seltz of Columbia; Myra Sue (Kevin) Hanscomb of Nashville; Olivia Mansell (Judd) Hunt of Oneonta, Alabama; great grandchildren, Jacob Mansell Grams of Franklin; Sarah Emily Grams of Franklin; Lucy Love Grams of Franklin; Joshua Paul Seltz of Columbia; Carter Wayne Seltz of Columbia; Ryan Michael Seltz of Columbia; Brady Liam Hunt of Oneonta, Alabama; and sister, Nell Nichols of Kimberly, Alabama.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur Thomas Duncan; Benton Hines Duncan; and Jerry Travis Duncan.Active pallbearers will be Matthew Grams, Paul Seltz, Kevin Hanscomb, Judd Hunt, Jacob Grams, and Joshua Seltz. Honorary pallbearers include Carter Wayne Seltz, Ryan Michael Seltz, Brady Liam Hunt, and Michael Seltz.
