Betty Pauline Webb Love, 86, affectionately known as "Nanny", retired secretary for Edwards Oil Company and resident of Columbia, died Monday, October 31, 2022 at Poplar Estates. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bill Webb and Mark Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born August 22, 1936 she was the daughter of the late William Keston Webb and the late Lillian Warren Hinson Webb. She attended Lewis County High School and was a graduate of Columbia Business College. Mrs. Love enjoyed reading, crafts, quilting, cross stitching, and spending time with her family. She was known for being a great cook, excellent seamstress, and most importantly was her faith in God. Mrs. Love was a member of Maury Hills Church. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, whom she married April 25, 1953, Bobby W. Love of Columbia; daughter, Sherry Love (Quintin) Sprouse of Columbia; son, Roger D. (Pam) Love of Culleoka; grandchildren, Natalie Brewer (Johnathon) Counts of Columbia; Nicole Brewer (Philippe Ots) Rowe of Neptune Beach, Florida; Kristen Love Sanders of Lawrenceburg; Jillian Love of Greenville, South Carolina; Keston Scott (Nikki Bloom) Love of Sherman, Texas; Alex Love of Austin, Texas; great grandchildren, Austin Bryce Sanders of Chattanooga; Jaylin Kirk Counts of Columbia; Anna Lee Love of Texas; step grandchildren, Nicki Sprouse (Brian) Goldman of Columbia; Ashley Tabolinsky (Cody) Murdock of Murfreesboro; Britany Davis (Joseph) of Columbia; Hannah (Jeff) White of Columbia; step great grandchildren, Sebastian Fletcher of Columbia; Cayden Counts of Columbia; Ulrik Murdock of Murfreesboro; Allie Hogue (Nathan Thompson) of Columbia; Addie Grace Hogue of Columbia; Elijah Davis of Columbia; Ashton Reid of Columbia; Hudson White of Columbia; step great great grandchild, Kolson Thompson of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Steve Love; brothers and sisters, Bert Webb, Clyde Webb, Mark Webb, Walter Webb, Alvin Webb, Robert Hinson, Luke Hinson, Jr., Adell Webb Curtis, Mary E. Webb, Eloise Webb Tanner, Lady Hinson Churchwell, Daisy E. Webb. Active pallbearers Johnathon Counts, Brian Goldman, Philippe Ots, Keston Love, Alex Love, and Bryce Sanders. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Poplar Estates and Hospice Compassus.
