Betty Ruth Adams Bigsby

Betty Ruth Adams Bigsby, 85, retired waitress for Western Sizzlin and resident of Columbia, died Friday, August 4, 2023 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born June 30, 1938 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late W.T. Adams and the late Virgie Mai Pittman Adams. She married Donald Leroy Bigsby who preceded her in death on December 23, 2003. Mrs. Bigsby was a member of the Family Worship Center Media. Survivors include her daughter, Melisa Gordan of Columbia; sisters, Virgie Maie Denton of Columbia; Barbara Ann (Arnold) Hooper of Culleoka; Patsy Gaile (Bobby) Walker of Trenton; half-sister, Laura Mayberry of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Wayne Peay; brothers, Thomas Adams, Pat Adams, Earl Adams; sisters, Clara Norman and Bertha Barber; and half-brother, Dale Adams
