Betty Lillard Perdue Simmons, 76, resident of the Campbellsville Pike, longtime employee of Sullivan's Flowers and Gifts and retired from Nukote-Pelican, died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital.Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Home with Elmer Lusk and Curtis Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Allen County, Kentucky native was the daughter of the late Matt Lillard and Nell Stephens Lillard. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 287 and B.P.O.E. Lady Elks #686. She was a member of the Highland Church of Christ.Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Bobby Thomas "T. Tom" Simmons of Columbia; three daughters Juaneese Perdue (Robert L.) Johnson and Launita (Ronnie) Greene both of Columbia, Jackie Perdue of Nashville; sister, Lila Hinton of Sarasota, FL; four grandchildren, Shannon (Jeff) Loveless of Lynnville, Lee (Jennifer) Winchester of Columbia, Britney (Sean) McGowan and Stephanie (Seamus) McGowan both of St. Louis, MO; nine great-grandchildren, Abbey Winchester, Austin Winchester, Amelia Winchester all of Columbia, Ashley Spahr, Alissa Jean Spahr both of Lynnville, Grant McGowan, Ansley McGowan, Reece McGowan and Rylee Belle McGowan all of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Scott and a brother, William "Bill" Lillard.Pallbearers will be Ronnie Greene, Lee Winchester, James Derryberry, Jeff Loveless, Seamus McGowan and Sean McGowan. Honorary pallbearers include Doug Johnson, Johnny Riggins, Jimmy Burcham, Dr. Cummins Couch, Doug Brown, Tony Sowell and members of the Order of Eastern Star.
