Betty Jo Mitchell Voss

Mrs. Betty Jo Mitchell Voss, 78, retired owner/operator of Columbia Office Supply and resident of Buena Vista Drive, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Bob Adair and Rev. Jim Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka. Mitchell and Fannie Wilkes Mitchell. She was married to W. Granville Voss who preceded her in death in 1989. She was a graduate of Culleoka High School and Columbia Business College. For fifteen years she was associated with Eubank Office Supply on South Garden Street and for thirty-two years, with her partner Eddie Yarber, she operated Columbia Office Supply on West Seventh Street. In her childhood she was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was more recently a faithful member of Highland Park Baptist Church. Survivors include one cousin, Rolland Thomason of Nashville; and special friends, Roger D. Allen, Eddie & Carolyn Yarber, and Betty Sue O' Connor all of Columbia. Pallbearers will be Garry O'Connor, Randy O'Connor, Dwade O'Connor, Dan Shires, Loyd Neal, John Neal, David Lindsey, Charles Davis and Kenneth Eubank. Honorary pallbearers will be Gayla Ring, Paula Dooley, Michele Burns, friends of Highland Park Baptist Church, Liberty Baptist Church and Friendship Baptist Church.
