Betty Jo Graves White, 68, retired shipping and receiving clerk for Publix Manufacturing Company and resident of Sunnyside Lane, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Wendell Robinson and Hugh McHenry officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Paul Graves Hancock and a 1958 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Mrs. White was a former long-time member of Riverside Church of Christ (now Northview Church of Christ). Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Jerry T. White of Columbia; sons, Mark (Melissa) White and Tim (Wanda) White of Columbia; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jerid) Metcalf, Bethany White, and Stephanie Reaves, all of Columbia; brother, James A. (Gloria) Graves of Barstow, California; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Rahn and brother, William F. Graves. Active pallbearers are Bobby White, Dale White, Larry White, John Graves, Jimmy Graves, Buddy Smith, Massie Davis, Dave Hall, and Norman Harris. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Andrew Sisk and Staff, Dr. Bill Malone, Dr. John Simmons, Dr. John and Carrie Barr, Chuck Peppin, and Theresa Riggins, Middle Tennessee Home Health Nurse.
