Betty Ann Smith Young, 72, retired registered nurse at Brown's Hospital and Gordon's Hospital in Lewisburg, who in recent years provided of home health nursing care and resident of Boaz, Alabama, died Friday, July 28, 2006 at NHC Columbia. A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Scribner's Mill Cemetery with Paul Lucas officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. She was a member 1st Baptist Church in Lewisburg. Survivors include her husband, Owen Young of Boaz, Alabama; daughter, Diane (Jerry) Flowers of Lynnville; sons, Randall (Jean) Young of Lewisburg, James Scott (Vickie) Young of Franklin; sister, Eva (Buford) Endsley of Cornersville; grandchildren, Stephanie (Carl) Langford, Nichole (John) Burton, Jennifer Young, Cynthia Young, Brian Flowers, Brandon Flowers, Jason Young, Chris (Stacey) Booker; great-grandchildren, Mercedes Burton, Alexandria Booker, Matthew Langford, Braxton Langford, Hunter Booker, Dylan Booker; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James B. Smith. Active pallbearers are Brian Flowers, Brandon Flowers, Jason Young, John Burton, Carl Langford, Matthew Langford and Chris Booker.
