Mrs. Beverly Jean Tidwell Chapman, 64, independent sitter for Hospice Care, died Monday, April 17, 2006, at her residence on Hampshire Pike. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Dobbins Cemetery in Lawrence County. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. She was a graduate of Collinwood High School and Columbia State Community College Nursing Program. Mrs. Chapman was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of forty-four years, R. French Chapman of Columbia; one daughter, Debbie Lynn Chapman (Patrick Jason) Matthews of Columbia; one son, Jacson French (Emily) Chapman of Columbia; two sisters, Bonnie Tidwell Mason of St. Joseph, Charlsie Tidwell of Iron City; three brothers, Glenn Tidwell of Lawrenceburg; Rex Tidwell and her twin brother, Billy Dean Tidwell, both of Iron City; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be James Barr, Gene Barr, Travis Jones, Tim Tidwell, Tracy Tidwell, David Sanders, Joe Evans, Robert Springer and Joe Cathey. Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Kerr, Eddie Joe Sweeten and the staff of Caring Hearts.
