Billie Bird Dunnebacke, 91, retired Medical Technician for Dr. Mayfield and Dr. Olson, died Sunday, March 12, 2017 in Jackson, TennesseeA private graveside service will be held at Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. Paul Joiner officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. The family suggests memorials to Zion Presbyterian Church, 2322 Zion Road, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born August 24, 1925 in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Robert Curtis Bird and Jewel Magness Bird. On April 5, 1947, she married Dr. Fred Hudson Dunnebacke and their 64 year marriage ended with his death May 10, 2011. She received an Associate degree from Columbia State Community College and attended the University of Arkansas and Washington University. Mrs. Dunnebacke was a member of Zion Presbyterian Church, life time member of Polk Auxiliary, DAR, and volunteer with the Maury Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Survivors include her children, Kathy Dunnebacke (Pitts) Hinson of Franklin; Dr. Robert Hudson (Rebecca) Dunnebacke of Jackson; grandchildren, Haley Hinson (Len) McKnatt; Amy Hinson (Alex) Gregg; Angela Dunnebacke (Chad) Hutchens; Joseph Brian (Emily) Dunnebacke; and great grandchildren, David Mason McKnatt; Lauren Maclaine McKnatt; Madelyn Hinsley Gregg; Matthew Hudson Gregg; Madison Elisabeth Hutchens; Katelyn Grace Hutchens; Zachary Chad Hutchens; and Everett Hudson Dunnebacke.In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Bobbie Bird Hurley.
