View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Billy Hughes Clark, 98, retired car salesman for the Nashville area, died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ashley Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born February 28, 1922 in Sumner County, he was the son of the late Enes Charles Clark and the late Louise Gullett Clark. At the age of 2, he survived one of the worst tornados in Tennessee. He served in the United States Army during WWII. In 1987 he married Alice Kaye Adams Clark who preceded him in death June 26, 2007. In 1988, together he and Kaye owned and operated Kaye’s Embroidery & Apparel and Remay Company. Mr. Clark was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Survivors include his daughter, Susie Adams (Mark) Curry of Duck River; grandchildren, Brian (Shea) Adams of Summertown; Elizabeth Curry (Michael) Cox of Columbia; Justin (Crystal) Curry of Columbia; Daryl (Rose) Sconyers of Mentor, Ohio; John (Deborah) Sconyers of Florida; Marla Moore of Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Linda Colley of Columbia; and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Adams; brother-in-law, Jerry Colley; and special pet, Murphy Clark. Active pallbearers will be Justin Curry, Michael Cox, Mike Lynch, Charles Hesson, Ronnie Pugh, Gary Bozeman, and Larry Peach. Honorary pallbearers include Edna Latham, Mike Thomas, friends of Pimlico Place, Caris Hospice, staff of the Bridge, and Maury Regional 3rd floor west wing staff. The family would like to express a special thanks to Jim, Nikki, Ann, Tamika, Rita, and Becky at The Bridge, Dr. Steven Smith, Mark and LouAnn with Caris Hospice for all the care and love shown to Mr. Clark. A special thanks to Ashley and Paulette Brown for always being there for Mr. Clark.
