Billy Emler "Catfish" Runions, 53, employee of Wilson Sports and resident of Carthage Highway, gained his wings and went to heaven Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Tennova Medical Center in Lebanon. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Shaw and Donnie Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in Sheboss Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Saturday after 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Willis Ozro Emler, Sr. and Shirley Mae Runions Emler. He was a very hard worker and worked all the time, for many years he owned and operated "Billy's Market". Mr. Runions loved to tell jokes, enjoyed NASCAR, and coin collecting. He was always very dependable and supportive to his family and friends. Survivors include his brother, Bobby Gene (Sheila) Emler of Lewisburg; sister, Wanda Faye Emler of Lebanon; nephews, Tyler Emler, Willis Emler, Justin Emler and several other nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Catherine Emler of Culleoka; and special friends, Donnie Goodman, Mark Goodman, his boss, Rodney, co-worker, "Little Billy", Bryant and Dottie Brewer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly LeAnne Goodman Runions McCormick; and brothers, Robert Emler and Willis Emler, Jr. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
