Mrs. Blanche Evans Clymore, 91, former longtime resident of the Sawdust Community, died Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Rosewood Manor. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Columbia Academy, 1101 West 7th St., Columbia, TN 38401. Evans and Hattie Mai Shannon Evans. She was retired from Parks-Belk and was a former employee of Tennessee Knitting Mills. Mrs. Clymore was a member of Graymere Church of Christ where she worked with Vacation Bible School, taught Sunday School and coordinated the Primary Program for several years. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (Jimmie) Adkisson of Columbia; one son, Edward (Becky) Clymore of Staunton, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Daniel Clymore, David Clymore, William "Ted" Potts, Dusty Clymore, Taleah Potts, Denise Clymore Revercomb, Dianne Clymore Moody; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Evans. Pallbearers will be Danny Clymore, William "Ted" Potts, David Clymore, Allen Stacey, Jeff Stacey, Dusty Clymore, Blake Vaught and Zach Clymore Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Martin, Joe Bell, Deason Loveless, Leonard Johnson, Earl Johnson, Joe Hardison, Larry Church, special caregiver Olivia Whiteside and Elders and Deacons of Graymere Church of Christ. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Thomas Farmer and the staff at Rosewood Manor for the special care and attention given to Mrs. Clymore.
