View Funeral Webcast Bobbie Ann Counts, 85, retired employee of National Life Insurance/American General Life Insurance and former resident of Carrol Drive, died Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Wellington Place in Brentwood. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Swango officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born June 22, 1934 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Counts and the late Pearl Stofel Counts. She was a 1952 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Miss Counts was a long-time member of Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was part of the meals program. She was known to be a kid at heart. Survivors include her nephews, Tony (Tina) Bowling of Franklin; David Wiley of Columbia; and several other nieces and nephews; and sister, Dorothy Sue (Jerry) Bowling of Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Wiley, and Bessie Owens; and brother, Luther Counts. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
