Bobbie Jean McGee

March 19, 1932 — April 4, 2016

Bobbie Jean Stephenson McGee, 84, retired twenty-three year employee of Tennessee Baptist Children's Home in Brentwood and resident of The Bridge at Life Care Center, died Monday, April 4, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Brentwood Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Church Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Brentwood Baptist Church. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. The family suggests memorials to Mooresville Baptist Church, 1030 Bryant Cemetery Road, Lewisburg, TN 37091. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born March 20, 1932 in LaFayette, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Edward Alexander Stephenson and the late Annie Belle Chapman Stephenson. The loving wife and mother was an excellent cook, but she also loved to eat out and go to the movies. She was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Forrest McGee of Columbia; sons, Greg (Shelly) McGee of Waverly and Steve (Janie) McGee of Culleoka; grandsons, Gregory McGee, Jr., and Christian McGee; and brother, Jim Stephenson. Pallbearers will be Gregory McGee, Christian McGee, Eric Stephenson, Kip White, Matt McGee, and Greg McGee.
