Bobby Darryl (Bob) Gray, 69, retired from Rhone-Poulenc and long-time resident of Water Valley Road in the Santa Fe Community, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Earl Davis and Murray Thomas Culberson officiating. Burial will be in Santa Fe Cemetery. The Maury County native was the son of the late Ralph W. Gray and Carrie Woody Gray. He graduated from Warner-Robbins High School in Warner-Robbins, Georgia and was a former member of the Tennessee National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Charlotte Houser Gray of Santa Fe; daughters, Sandy (Jim) McElhaney of Santa Fe and Connie (Keith) Thomason of Columbia; son, Darryl (Danelle) Gray of Santa Fe; brother, Ronnye (Margie) Gray of McEwen; grandsons, Michael McElhaney and Nick McElhaney of Santa Fe; granddaughters, Brittany Gray of Columbia, Randi McElhaney, Kaitlyn Gray, and Kaleigh Gray of Santa Fe. Active pallbearers are Stanfill Farris, Carl Sellers, Stan Farris, Steve Farris, John Thyen, and James Grayland Huey. Honorary pallbearers include former co-workers at Stauffer Chemical Company, friends and neighbors of the Water Valley Community, and staff of Rosewood Nursing Facility.
