Bobby Lee Johnson, 70, retired supervisor for Occidental Corporation, died Monday, September 10, 2007 at his residence on Rockland Drive. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols concluding with funeral services at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Calvin Lunn officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. (est) at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, Tennessee with Rev. Bobby Barrett officiating. The Polk County native served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Joann Barrett Johnson of Columbia; two daughters, Kim (Ron) Kirsch of Brentwood and Karen Perrin of Franklin; a son, Barrett (Candice) Johnson of Columbia; his mother, Anna Rae Johnson Montgomery of Cleveland; grandchildren, Matt Kirsch, Hunter Kirsch, Emily Perrin, and Brooke Perrin; a sister, Lynn (Hoyle) Baker of Cleveland; two brothers, Steve Montgomery of Cleveland and Harry (Sherry) Johnson of Charleston; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Mike Johnson and his step-father, R. F. Montgomery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
