Bobby Gene Potts

Mr. Bobby Gene Potts, 60, died Monday, December 17 at his residence on Old Williamsport Pike. Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday at Helton Cemetery in Giles County with Rev. Argene Hughes officiating. The family will visit with friends Wedneday from 9 - 11 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Howard R. Potts and Mackie Mae Carpenter Potts. He was employed by General Electric for 22 years, first in Columbia and later in the Louisville plant. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include four children, Joel (Cindy) Potts, Mrs. Kim Potts Hardison, Brian (Amanda) Potts all of Culleoka and Chris Potts of Columbia; two brothers, Nathan Ray Potts and Gary Lee Potts both of Columbia; and 9 grandchildren, Austin Potts, Levi Potts, Jaycelyn Potts, Maranda Hardison, Zackary Hardison, Ashley Potts, Dylan Potts, Michael Potts and Andrew Potts. Pallbearers will be friends, family and grandchildren.
