View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Bobby Earl Woods, 79, retired carpenter, died Friday, February 14, 2014 at his residence on South Laurel Circle. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Vassar and Rev. Mike Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born April 3, 1934 in Paducah, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Earl Alexander Woods and Beulah D. Jones Woods. Mr. Woods was stationed in Germany during his two years service in the U. S. Army. For several years, he was employed by his father at Industrial Contractors before venturing out in his own business. In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing and big game hunting. He was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife whom he married September 17, 1955, Beverly Ann Kimbro Woods of Columbia; son, Allen (Sharon) Woods of Columbia; daughter, son-in-love, & caregivers Tammy and David "Buggy" LeMay of Columbia. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Brandon (Victoria) Woods, Krystle LeMay, Candace Woods Carns, Kaitland LeMay, great grandchildren, Jordan Woods, Jeremiah Woods, Kylie Carns, Jielle Woods and Jalese Woods; and special niece, Stacey Woods Jones. He was preceded in death by son Randy Keith Woods, grandson Justin Woods, and a brother Larry Woods. Family will serve as pallbearers.
