Bonnie Bowman

Bonnie Bowman, 71, died Friday, Dec. 6 at her home surrounded by family and close friends. Bonnie was a native of Maury County, a graduate of Columbia Central High School, Columbia Business College and Trevecca Nazarene University. An accountant by training, Bonnie worked for public accounting firms as well as private businesses during her lengthy career. She was also known for her love of horses and dogs. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Frances Bowman, a sister Jane Bowman Alden and foster brother R.D. Ledford. She is survived by her nephew, Dr. John Dale (Carrie) Alden; adopted son, Dr. Samuel B. Webb, cousin Betty Merrill Webb, Hal Denton and Linda Denton Holland and foster family, Sammie, David and Dwight Ledford, Brecca Ledford Meigs and Heather Ledford Hayden. No service is planned at this time. A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be scheduled at a later date. The family wishes to express special thanks to caregiver, Valerie Gant, and loving neighbors Wanda Kelley and Patti Hollinsworth for their tireless efforts in attending to Bonnie during her illness.
