View Video Tribute Bonnie Katherine Horne Sims, 88, born June 27, 1929 in Maury County, Tennessee, was the daughter of the late Carmel Horne and the late Bonnie Ostene Pinkleton Horne and member of Bethel Church of Christ. Mrs. Sims died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at NHC Scott in Lawrenceburg, and was a retired employee of Dr. Fuqua, Dr. Gardner, and Dr. Robinson. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ed Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Janice (Rick) Franklin of Lawrenceburg; son, Gary Alan (Arlene) Sims of Lynnville; grandchildren, Kayce (Shannon) McCawley; Calvin (Courtney) Clark; Chad (Cindy) Franklin; Amie (Scott) Owens; Ginny Fryer; Ginger Sims; Joe Willie (Kelli) Sims; Ryan (Casey) Sims; Kelly Sims; Candice Sims; twenty-one great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bailey Garner Sims; sons, Bobby Neal Sims; and Joe Gardner Sims; sister, Oma Fay Horne; and brother, Floyd Milton Horne. Active pallbearers will be Dewayne Horne, Calvin Clark, Shannon McCawley, Bubba Sims, Tristan Walkington, and Jerry Flowers.
