Video Memories of Mr. RoseMr. Brady Earl Rose, 59, carpenter for Custom Home Builders and resident of Locust Street, died Saturday, June 4, 2005 from injuries sustained in an accident. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Bob Adair officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Dickerson County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Early Rose and Amy Baker Rose. He was a graduate of Ervinton High School in Nora, Virginia. A proud "Seabee," he served two tours of duty in Vietnam (1965 - 1969) with the United States Naval Mobile Construction Battalion #133. He was a member of VFW Post #4969 and Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. Survivors include a daughter, Shannon (Rick) Osborn of Columbia; a son, Brad Rose of Columbia; three grandchildren, Abigail Rose, Britten Fandrich and Carson Brady Osborn; a brother, Jack (Edith) Rose of Virginia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Darrel Rose, Virgil Rose and Dempsey Rose. Active pallbearers are Al Castonguay, Roger Reese, Joey Shepherd, Wayne Jones, Larry Hann, Brad Rose, David Rose and Chris Rose. Members of Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19 and VFW Post #4969 will serve as honorary pallbearers.
